MARUNI PLUG PATCH 35x4.5mm
Maruni Plug Patch is a combination of a plug and a patch, offering a convenient and safe solution for repairing both bias-ply and radial tires.
The plug fills the injury channel, protecting the steel belts from corrosion. With the use of the Plug Patch, the repair is complete and ensures long-lasting performance.
Please note: Plug Patches should only be used for tread punctures at an angle of no more than 20 degrees. For punctures with a greater angle, a STEM plug should be used instead.
Maruni Plug Patches are available in the following sizes:
-
4.5 mm plug with 35 mm patch
-
7 mm plug with 40 mm patch
-
9 mm plug with 56 mm patch
-
12 mm plug with 80 mm patch
How to Properly Repair a Tire Using a Maruni Plug Patch
- Use pliers to remove the foreign object from the tire, then mark the injury location with chalk.
- Ream the injury several times with a carbide cutter from the outside of the tire.
- Ream the injury again from the inside of the tire.
- Position the Plug Patch so the injury is centered under the head, then trace an outline slightly larger than the patch.
- Apply Liquid Buffer to the marked area to remove grease and dirt from the bonding surface.
- Use a scraper to clean the area thoroughly.
- Mechanically buff the marked area using a low-speed grinder.
- Use a pneumatic vacuum to remove all rubber dust and debris.
- Evenly and thoroughly apply Super Valkarn vulcanizing cement to the prepared area and allow it to dry completely.
- Apply a few drops of Super Valkarn into the injury channel.
- Coat the black portion of the Plug Patch stem with Super Valkarn cement.
- Loosen the tire spreader. Insert the plug wire into the injury channel from the inside of the tire. Do not touch the bonding surface of the patch.
- Use pliers to pull the plug stem through the hole.
- Press the patch head firmly against the tire using a roller, moving from the center
