12*10g adhesive weight BLACK SMART (25pcs) 3 kg
Quantity
12*10g adhesive weight BLACK SMART (25pcs) 3 kg
Steel weight with a very strong strap.
The tape is 2 mm wider than the weight strip, making it easier to peel off.
The surface is protected by a special paint in grey. This prevents the weights from corroding.
Coating: Zinc + black anti-corrosion coating.
Why balance tyres at all?
At a speed of 100 km/h, the centrifugal force of an unbalance of 10 g acts with the force of a sledgehammer. This makes unbalanced wheels dangerous: without weights on steel and aluminium rims, wheel suspensions and bearings are subjected to greater stress. The lack of balancing weights on steel and aluminium rims can also lead to noticeable vibrations on the steering wheel and in the vehicle interior. In addition, the lack of adhesive weights results in increased wear on brakes and tyres.
Installation of adhesive weights:
Before installing adhesive weights, the surface of the rim must be free of grease, silicone, dust and dry. The temperature must not be below 10°C and the surface to be attached to the rim must not exceed a maximum bevel of 15°C from the direction of the hub.
First select the required weight of adhesive weights and, if necessary, separate the balancing weights from the belt or pulley. Then carefully bend the belt and fit it to the rim.
In the next step, you can remove the protective film from the strap and glue the weight in the centre of the space provided. Press the weight firmly from the centre to the outer edges. The pressure on the weight must be at least 10 N/cm².
