Why Balance Tires?
At a speed of 100 km/h, an imbalance of just 10 g exerts a centrifugal force equivalent to that of a blacksmith's hammer. This makes unbalanced wheels a safety hazard. Without wheel weights on steel and alloy rims, wheel suspensions and bearings are subjected to greater stress.
Additionally, the absence of balancing weights can cause noticeable vibrations in the steering wheel and throughout the vehicle. Without adhesive weights, brake and tire wear also increases.
Installation of Adhesive Wheel Weights
Before installing adhesive weights, the rim surface must be free of grease, silicone, dust, and must be dry. The temperature should not be lower than 10°C, and the surface angle relative to the hub should not exceed 15°.
First, select the required weight and, if necessary, separate the wheel weights from the strip or roll. Then, carefully bend the strip and fit it to the rim.
Next, remove the protective film from the strip and apply the weight to the center of the designated area. Firmly press the weight from the center outward. The applied pressure must be at least 10 N/cm².
