Tire Repair Using Maruni MR Patch and STEM Plug – Step-by-Step:
-
Use pliers to remove any foreign object from the puncture and mark the damaged area with chalk.

-
Ream the hole multiple times from both the inside and outside of the tire using a carbide cutter.

-
Thread the STEM plug through the insertion tool (not necessary for plugs with integrated wire).

-
Remove the protective film from the STEM plug and coat it with Super Valkarn vulcanizing cement.

-
Apply a small amount of Super Valkarn into the puncture channel.

-
Pull the plug through the tire using pliers from the outside, ensuring part of the plug protrudes inside the tire.

-
Cut the inner end of the plug to leave 2–3 mm above the tire’s inner surface.

-
Position the MR patch over the puncture and mark a slightly larger area with chalk. Ensure the direction arrows point toward the bead of the tire.

-
Clean and chemically roughen the marked area using Liquid Buffer. Remove dirt and grease with a scraper.

-
Use a pneumatic vacuum to clear away dust and rubber particles.

-
Evenly apply Super Valkarn to the prepared surface and wait until it dries completely.

-
Remove the protective layer from the MR patch without touching the bonding area. Apply it to the tire, ensuring correct alignment.

-
Press the patch firmly using a roller, starting from the center outward to eliminate air bubbles.

-
Cut the protruding end of the plug on the outer side of the tire, leaving 2–3 mm.

-
Seal the repaired area with Maruni Sealiner to prevent air leaks.

Repair is now complete.
