A tire repair kit is essential equipment for every motorcyclist. It allows for a lightning-fast repair of a punctured tubeless tire while on the road, without the need to remove the wheel. The kit contains all the tools necessary to plug a hole and CO2 (carbon dioxide) cartridges to instantly inflate the tire.

Kit Contents:

  • 1x T-handle insertion tool (Needle): Features an ergonomic T-handle for a secure grip.
  • 1x Screw reamer: For cleaning, prepping the hole, and applying cement.
  • 3x 16g CO2 Cartridges: For rapid tire inflation.
  • 1x CO2 Protector sleeve: Protects hands from freezing temperatures during inflation.
  • 1x 12ml Rubber cement: Ensures a perfect seal and vulcanization.
  • 1x CO2 Adapter: A precision valve for gas dosing.
  • 1x CO2 Connection pipe: Flexible hose for easy access to the tire valve.
  • 10x Brown tire strings (Slim): Dimensions 4" x 3.5 mm.
  • 5x Brown tire strings (Regular): Dimensions 4" x 6 mm.
  • 1x Knife: For trimming excess string.
  • 1x Plier: To remove the foreign object from the tire.
  • 1x Heavy-duty nylon bag: For convenient storage under the seat or in a top box.
  • 1x Directions/Instructions.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Inspection: Locate the damage. Use the pliers to remove the foreign object (e.g., nail, screw) that caused the puncture.
  2. Preparing the hole: Insert the screw reamer into the hole at a slight angle, then straighten it and push the tool in and out several times to clean and slightly enlarge the hole.
  3. Lubrication: Apply a small amount of rubber cement to the tip of the insertion needle.
  4. Loading the string: Thread the repair string through the eye of the needle.
  5. Centering: Ensure the string is centered within the needle shaft.
  6. Installation: Push the needle with the string straight down into the hole until the ends of the string are sticking out approximately 15 mm above the tread.
  7. Removing the needle: Use the retaining collet (if equipped) or pull the handle up firmly to remove the needle from the hole, leaving the repair strip in place.
  8. Finishing: Cut the exposed ends of the strip slightly above the tread using the knife.

After Repair: Inflate the tire to the correct pressure using the CO2 cartridges and adapter. Check the repaired area for leaks (e.g., using soapy water).

Important Safety Notes:

  • This kit is intended for repairs within the crown area (tread) of the tire.
  • Do not attempt to repair sidewall damage or punctures larger than the recommended sizes (max 6 mm).
  • String repairs are considered temporary (emergency) fixes. Upon reaching your destination, it is recommended to visit a professional tire service to verify the repair.
